NATURE AND PLAY BASED EDUCATIONAL  PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AGES 5-8

Nature and Play Based

We offer a balanced curriculum learning through play and exploration in nature. We teach literacy using the Fundations program and Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop models. Mathematics is taught using the Wild Math and Singapore Math programs. Our curriculum focuses on teaching about the natural and farm environments, as well as focusing on social skills to foster kindness, respect, resiliency, empathy, and a love for living things. We have a 6:1 teacher/student ratio.

Emery Farm is a well established family farm on the seacoast of New Hampshire. Little Otters’ beautiful indoor classroom is above the Market and Cafe. We also have an outdoor structure and utilize the trails and other natural aspects for learning and play space. We will learn about and care for the animals that live on the farm, help to gather eggs, and utilize the greenhouse and other agricultural aspects as well.

Our program hours are 8:30-2:00 Monday-Thursday. This allows our students time to practice social skills and learn with a low student to teacher ratio, while also having ample family time.

Children that are kindergarten age attend from 8:30-12:30. Second grade age children attend from 8:30-2:00. First grade age children have the choice of consistently leaving at 12:30 or 2:00.
