Nature and Play-based
Little Otters Program is a nature and play-based program for children ages 5-9 located at beautiful Emery Farm in Durham, NH.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AGES 5-9
We offer a balanced curriculum learning through play and exploration in nature. We teach literacy using the Fundations program and Reading and Writing Workshop models. Mathematics is taught using the Wild Math and Singapore Math programs. Our curriculum focuses on teaching about the natural and farm environments, as well as focusing on social skills to foster kindness, respect, resiliency, empathy, and a love for living things. We ensure a 1:6 teacher/student ratio or better.
Emery Farm is a well established family farm on the seacoast of New Hampshire. Little Otters’ beautiful indoor classroom is above the Market and Cafe. We also have an outdoor structure and utilize the trails and other natural aspects for learning and play space.
Our program hours for kindergarten age children are 8:30-12:30.
First grade age children may choose 8:30-12:30 or the extended hours.
Hours for second and third grade age children are 8:30-2:00.
Monday-Thursday
This allows our students time to practice social skills and learn with a low student to teacher ratio, while also having ample family time.

CHILDREN'S YOGA CLASS
Winter Children's Yoga Class with Miss Janine
Wednesdays 4:00-4:45
January 4th - February 15th 2023

Children's Yoga classes include breathing exercises, yoga poses, games, songs, confidence building exercises, as well as relaxation. Children learn coping mechanisms to help self regulate that they can use in their everyday life in a safe and welcoming environment. Classes are held in the Little Otters indoor classroom at Emery Farm. Caregivers are always welcome to drop off, wait in the cozy cafe below, or take a stroll outside around the farm.
7 week session - $99
Snow dates March 1st and 8th
Space is limited to 10 children (4 child minimum).

TUTORING

Virtual or In Person
Children will love in person tutoring in our new indoor classroom at Emery Farm, while caregivers enjoy the farm's beautiful outdoor seating or perhaps sip a warm drink at the farm table in the cafe. Available for homeschool learning or after school.
